Stephen Copeland 2005
Stephan Copeland found inspiration in bicycles when he designed the beautifully kinetic Copeland Light™ to shift. The pivoting, dual-mode head can be inverted to create different light intensities appropriate to varying tasks, while the articulated spring mechanism offers dexterity and flexibility.
Stephan Copeland has worked as a designer since 1989, when he launched Copeland Studio in Los Angeles. A frequent speaker at design forums and universities, Copeland passionately advocates the power of industrial design to elevate the physical experience. In a design world so empowered by the graphic powers of CAD and plastics, Copeland is compelled by the associated physical possibilities.
