The largest and most widely recognized organization for facility management professionals, the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) will host its annual Facility Fusion Conference and Exposition in Atlanta, Georgia from April 8-10th at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. The conference and exposition, themed “Forging Visionary Leadership,” will include several keynote lectures and facility tours as well as leadership development and educational sessions that address the unique needs and challenges of the expanding field of workplace facility management.
A member of the Workplace Evolutionaries Leadership Committee within the organization, Andrea Sarate, Director of Workplace Strategy, Knoll, will lead an educational session at IFMA’s Facility Fusion Conference and Exposition. Her session “Agile Working: Embracing the Evolution of a Changing Workplace” will examine the ways in which the terms “agile working”, “free address” and “hoteling” are used interchangeably, causing confusion in workplace planning. She will define and clarify the role of each program as workplace strategies. In addition, the session will review appropriate workplace planning elements and tactics to reduce future risk and negative facility impacts. Her session takes place on Monday, April 8th from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Participants can register for IFMA Facility Fusion 2019 here.
The Knoll Atlanta Showroom will also host “WE Socialize”: a networking event held in partnership with Workplace Evolutionaries Community of IFMA. The event will feature a brief talk on the research and planning goals behind the design of the showroom followed by a tour of the space. “WE Socialize” is open to the public and takes place on Tuesday, April 9th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Attendees can register for event here.
