The Byers Eye Institute at Stanford Hospital & Clinics serves to integrate all of the institution's vision care services into one state-of-the-art facility that leverages the research and teaching strengths of its medical school.
When the Institute moved to its new location, it turned to interior design firm, Tom Eliot Fisch, and furniture dealer Hogue & Associates, to create a contemporary space with clean lines and rich textures. In its private offices, the Institute achieved balance with a mix of Reff Profiles®, renowned for its modern aesthetic and distinguishing capabilities in wood, and AutoStrada®, which offers an innovative design for team interactions and physicians' offices. Life® chairs, featuring intuitive adjustments and a slim silhouette, are paired with Calibre® pedestals, which organize the Institute's "off stage" support areas.
In the reception area, custom KnollStudio seating is paired with custom bolsters. The print, which is a custom design by KnollTextiles, mimics the classic architectural facade of the Institution's medical school buildings as well as elements from its natural surroundings and is also used as seating upholstery in the Institutes' private offices.
