When Canaccord Adams, one of Canada's leading private client and capital market financial firms, relocated to a new space in downtown Toronto, Ontario, the company sought not only a larger work area to accommodate its rapidly expanding business but also a new branded image for its client base—both existing and potential. Canaccord wanted its new office space to be an integrated environment that would promote a high level of service and professionalism and, simultaneously, reflect the company's attention to detail. This was achieved using different configurations of the Knoll AutoStrada™ office system on the open floor.

AutoStrada AS-1 spine-based planning offers signatue structure for the open plan office. Linkable screens with windows and frameless glass add-up panels create visibility yet maintain a sense of privacy between workstations. Ergonomic and environmentally sustainable Life® chairs are used throughout. A technology channel provides data and communications while wood veneers on storage modules soften the atmosphere. The same aesthetic is applied elsewhere at Canaccord. One area offers greater personal space with high panels and ample storage. Another allows for easy communication between twin workstations.
