Casey Craig, Architecture and Design Manager at Knoll, is profiled in Profiles of Success, presented by CoreNet Global Southern California Chapter. CoreNet Global is the leading professional association for corporate real estate and workplace executives. The profile has been reprinted below.
Knoll's Casey Craig: "There is no one 'office of the future,' there is only change"
For 75 years, Knoll has used modern design to connect people wi their work, their lives and their world. "We believe that good design is good business. Through user-centered research, we have a passion for exploring the links between workplace design and human behavior; ergonomics and health; and the quality of the workplace and use performance," shares Casey Craig, Architecture and Design Manager at Knoll.
As Craig notes, every client that walks into a Knoll showroom wants to set itself apart. "Not one project looks like the next, and we are able to roll up our sleeves, hand in hand, with our Interior Design partners to offer a completely efficient design for the future of work."
For Knoll, defining this workplace strategy approach helps the firm to differentiate itself as a company and to be an advisor to its clients. "We are constantly challenging the tradtional understanding of work and place. It's a challenge of aesthetic ideals faced with functional needs," Craig adds.
When clients work with Knoll, they gain a great deal. The firm represents: a belief in modern design; a comprehensive product portfolio; 75 years of workplace experience; a commitment to customer service and manufacturing quality; a focus on environmental sustainability; and a global perspective.
To Craig, the greatest value of CoreNet is the ability to connect with others, in many different roles, who struggle with the same things Knoll and its clients do. "CoreNet has allowed us to connect with old friends and meet new professionals in the industry and transform the relationship to one that is mutually beneficial to one another's business."
When asked about her definition of success, Craig shares that for her the definition of success is constantly evolving. "At the end of the day, we have a great team at Knoll and at our three dealers in Southern California. If my team is successful, I am successful. It is constantly finding new ways to support the sales efforts, no matter how big or small."
She adds that success for the firm is delivering value to the client, no matter the outcome, as Knoll is constantly re-inventing its approach to deliver value. "For the team to be that adaptable to change is an accomplishment. It's not easy to change at a moment's notice. We are constantly trying to lead the change!" she states.
