IIDA Southern California Spotlights Hana Dorani, Knoll Sales Representative

In its Member Spotlight, IIDA Southern California featured Hana Dorani, Knoll Sales Representative and active member of IIDA throughout her ten year career in the contract furniture and design industry. Dorani serves as the VP of Sponsorship for the organization’s Southern California chapter. Of the organization, she comments, “Los Angeles’ design community is extremely special and I love that our events bring people together. I always find the experience as either an organizer or attendee really rewarding.”

With design experience across marketing, manufacturing and sales, Dorani joined Knoll in 2014. “Knoll has such timeless products. It makes it fun to find solutions for my clients and help them create inspiring, functional workspaces,” she states of the Company, adding, “Every piece has a story, but I have to admit I have a few favorites, including anything from the Saarinen and Bertoia collections.”

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Hana Dorani moved to Los Angeles with her family at the age of seven. She graduated with honors from California State University in Northridge with a B.A. in Art, focusing on illustration and graphic design. Throughout her membership with IIDA Southern California, Dorani served on multiple committees and organized several events for the local chapter—the Calibre Design Awards, Leaders Breakfast and Los Angeles Student Exhibitions—continuing to lead and represent Knoll in her local design community.
