On its morning June 17 segment, Yahoo Finance Live anchors Alexis Christoforous and Brian Sozzi interviewed Andrew Cogan, Knoll Chairman and CEO, who shared insights on the safe return to work as well as the future of the workplace. Cogan expressed that the community, creativity, connectivity and culture of the workplace remains important to organizations and employees alike. He also walked viewers through some of the ideas presented in Knoll-authored Considerations for Returning to a Healthy Workplace, from de-densifying floor plans to adding screens to individual workstations for enhanced separation. After retrofitting the workspace to the immediate return-to-work, Cogan stated that workplaces can be redesigned accommodate the long term needs of the post-pandemic workplace.
In addition, Cogan addressed the current environment with regards to the Black Lives Matter movement. “These are issues that our associates care deeply about. We’re actually in the midst of organizing a group to focus on diversity and inclusion at Knoll to be much more explicit that it’s personal from the top down across the organization,” says Cogan, adding, “We look at the clients we work with and the businesses we work with around the world that are very diverse, and we need to be as diverse as our clients.”
Yahoo Finance highlighted the interview on Twitter, emphasizing the common urge to get back to work.
