Each November, as an annual holiday event, the Knoll Customer Service Department distributes empty stockings to Knoll East Greenville associates. Participants decorate and fill stockings with toys for local children, which are then donated to Open Line, a non-profit organization based in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania that serves hundreds of families.
During the holidays, the decorated stockings are hung amongst the rafters above the customer resources department, creating a festive display before being collected and distributed by Open Line. This tradition, which started in the Customer Resource Department during the Holiday season in 2007, has since grown into a company-wide event. This year, over 200 stockings and boxes of toys were collected thanks to the East Greenville associates.
Many Knoll employees take great pride in making this event memorable, including Knoll training coordinator Marcia Reda who said, “There is no better feeling then watching that Penske trailer pull up in front of Open Line in Pennsburg and seeing the doors open to a trailer full of toys. It truly warms my heart.”
