Two Modern always® ads designed by creative agency 50,000feet to celebrate the Knoll 75th anniversary in 2013 will on display at CHGO DSGN, a major exhibition of recent object and graphic design, May 31 through November 2, 2014 in Chicago.
TheKnoll campaign couples designers and their recent work for Knoll with vintage imagery of its design icons. In addition to ads featuring Rem Koolhaas and the OMA Collection “Tools for Life” with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe; Richard Schultz with his outdoor 1966 Collection, which will be displayed at CHGO DSGN, the campaign also featured David Adjaye with Harry Bertoia; Antenna Design principals Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger and their Antenna workspaces with Eero Saarinen and Florence Knoll; and KnollTextiles Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas with Florence Knoll.
“The tone of the [Modern always®] ads is candid, conversational and imbued with modernity, humanity and personality—characteristics that have defined Knoll from the start,” notes 50,000feet. “This highly engaging approach brings consumers into the Knoll experience, encouraging them to explore and shop at www.knoll.com.
