The May issue of Surface, the magazine's annual Design Issue, features Knoll's 1966 Collection in plum, one of six new color options. Designed by Richard Schultz, the classic collection of outdoor patio furniture was originally designed for Florence Knoll's own beachfront home.
Knoll introduced the six color options–plum, lime green, orange, yellow, green and blue–to the 1966 Collection this spring. The colors extend the palette that was originally developed for Jonathan Olivares' Olivares Chair and David Adjaye's Washington Collection, permitting a well-coordinated and colorful collection of outdoor furniture by a diverse group of Knoll designers.
