The Knoll Home Design Shop, which opened “around the corner from The Museum of Modern Art“ in New York City in May, is celebrated by Architecture Magazine as one of the Top Interiors of 2013. The Knoll Shop, Knoll’s first-ever direct-to-consumer store, offers both classic and new furniture pieces for the home and home office.
“A sunken entry level gives way to a glass-encased seasonal vignette, while a more permanent product display is housed in the back of the shop,” writes Emily Hooper of Architecture Magazine. “Darkly stained end grain wood flooring lends an inviting, residential feel to the space,” she continues.
Last year, the Knoll Shop also hosted a range of events for the public, including a meet and greet with designers Richard Schultz in May; the introduction of the SUNO Collection for KnollTextiles with SUNO in September; and the introduction of the Washington Collection for Knoll™ with David Adjaye in October.
The Knoll Shop features residential and outdoor furniture, home textiles and accessories, including classic furniture designs by Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia and Richard Schultz, as well as new designs by David Adjaye, Marc Krusin, Jonathan Olivares and Daniel Stromborg.
Now through March 17, 2014, the Knoll Shop celebrates of one of our most illustrious designers. Visit the Knoll Shop to explore all of Eero Saarinen's designs for Knoll, including Saarinen Tables in a range of finishes and sizes, as well as Tulip Chairs and Executive Chairs. Two vintage designs - The Grasshopper Chair, Saarinen's first Knoll design, and a Womb Settee, are also for sale.
