Options Charter School believes that there isn’t one way to learn. Providing alternative schooling environments for students struggling in traditional classroom settings, the organization sought to promote its founding principles— that individuals can learn at their own pace with a personalized approach—through flexible, nonprescriptive design that celebrates its student body through best-in-class furniture and architecture.
INSPIRE CREATIVITY
With middle and high school wings of its campus, Options Charter School turned to Rockwell Unscripted for adaptable furniture elements, like movable lounge and occasional tables, able to pivot to the activity at hand.
CAMPUS PRIDE
Options Charter School’s multipurpose space is perhaps the most flexible and widely-used of all, functioning as café, classroom and PE area. The easily-adaptable Pixel™ tablesare the perfect choice for configuring to the requirements of the day.
Boldly pigmented Spark Series side chairs reflect school pride through color.
FAN FAVORITE
“Students utilize the [Rockwell Unscripted] Steps in so many ways,” says school Principal, Michael Dungan. “They love to ask one another to go to [the steps] and work in groups—or to have a spot to sit back and relax together. They use them every day.”
COLLABORATE, CREATE
Smaller class sizes and a personalized approach to learning enabled Charter Options School to create spaces that flex, be it through work-study rooms adorned with Dividends Horizon X-Base tables and MultiGeneration by Knoll chairs, or streamlined classrooms that feature Remix chairs centered around a big table. In either setting, teachers can guide students side-by-side and peers can collaborate freely.
