Architectural Record's "Landscape and Recreation" issue featured the Risom Outdoor Lounge for its versatility and inherently functionalist nature. Editor Kelly Beamon selected the Risom Outdoor Lounge among the noteworthy pieces that exhibit a unique versatility, working equally as well indoors as outdoors. Beamon highlighted the durability and flexibility of the Risom Outdoor Collection – all celebrated characteristics of Jens Risom’s original 1942 design.
Classic Knoll designs also found their place in the pages of Departures’ September 2018 Style Issue. In an interview with editor Annie Davidson, British-born and New York-based designer Simon Spurr selected all that inspires him for the season – from furniture to art to fashion. “These days, the New York-based designer finds inspiration from more urbane references – like the abstract works of Sol LeWitt or the industrial feel of a Mies van der Rohe Chair,” wrote Davidson, highlighting the MR Lounge Chair for its sleek aesthetic and status as a modern classic.
Finally, Azure magazine featured Knoll’s introduction of Muuto in its 2018 NeoCon Showroom, highlighting the Scandinavian sensibility that is making waves in contract furniture. “To us, it’s about always being true to our vision of bringing new perspectives to the Scandinavian design tradition and showing this across the world,” stated Muuto Design Director Christian Grosen to Azure.
