Taking place over two busy days in Philadelphia, NeoCon East is the leading design expo and conference for interiors on the East Coast. This year, Knoll participated in the trade show on several fronts.
On November 9, an introduction to the WELL Building Standard™ was presented by Jessica Cooper of Delos Solutions in a morning event sponsored by Knoll. The WELL Building Standard™ is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring the performance of building features that impact health and well-being.
On the same day, Kylie Roth, Senior Director of Workplace Research at Knoll, participated in a panel discussion entitled “What’s Good for People? Moving from Wellness to Well-being.” Joining her in the panel were Brian G. Schwagerl, principal at BGS Advisory Services, Kim Hong, interior design director at Granum A/I, and Vincent Carango, global director of Facilities Management at FMC. Speaking to a crowded room, Roth discussed the growing importance of well-being and employee attraction and retention in the modern workplace.
In addition to Knoll having a booth at NeoCon East, Kimberly Smith, Senior Director of Workplace Strategy, gave a presentation on November 10 that discussed Florence Knoll’s role in redefining the modern work environment, an enduring legacy whose influence can still be detected across the trade show floors today.
