The 2016 Architizer A+ Awards have recognized Prism™ by David Adjaye and Pixel™ by Marc Krusin with Special Mention. The Architizer A+ Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year's best architecture and products. Out of the thousands of projects that were submitted, less than 15 percent were selected by the Jury as Special Mention honorees.
Prism by David Adjaye, honored in the Product Category for Residential Seating, is part of The Washington Collection™ for Knoll. Comprising a Lounge Chair, Ottoman and Side Table, the suite is marked by sculptural forms that continue the architect's fascinations with the interpaly of natural geometry, mass and light. Each piece consists of a glossy core laminate shell, which appears in contrast to the soft, upholstered surfaces of the Lounge Chair and Ottoman. The Side Table is available in five marble top finishes. Prism is also the recipient of the Best of NeoCon Editors' Choice award and the #MetropolisLikes Award at NeoCon 2015. Architectural Digest named it RECORD Product of the Year in 2015.
Pixel, designed by Marc Krusin, was recognized in the Product Category for Contract Furniture. The collection of high performance tables is architecturally tailored, with the clean, linear forms that are Krusin's signature. Designed and detailed to meet the needs of multiple tasks and audiences, Pixel delivers an innovative update to flexible meeting tables, reconfigurable training tables, height-adjustable desks and classic pieces for the private office. Pixel received Best of NeoCon Gold in 2015.
