Dezeen editor Natasha Levy featured the Knoll Los Angeles Design Shop among the publication’s “Top 10 Shops of 2018.” Levy lauded the design of the store writing that, “A sequence of grand white archways sit behind the front display window of Knoll’s Los Angeles store, which architecture firm Johnston Marklee designed in reference to a 16th-century Moroccan castle.”
Dezeen first highlighted Knoll Los Angeles Home Design Shop upon the store's buzzy debut. Editor Bridget Cogley featured the full space highlighting the use of Rockwell Unscripted, writing, “rooms dividers from Knoll’s Rockwell Unscripted Collection are used to break up the large space, and to create separate rooms similar to those in a house.”
Knoll opened the Los Angeles Home Design Shop in January 2018. Designed by LA-based Johnston Marklee, in collaboration with Knoll Design Director Benjamin Pardo, with interior space by Barbara Reimelt, NinetyNineGroup, the new space captures the modern spirit of Knoll, focusing on creative lifestyle inspiration for Los Angeles Natives and its international audience alike. It is the brand’s second direct-to-consumer retail location, following the success of its midtown New York City location.
